Filter and containment FAQs

The G4 pre-filter is the first stage. It catches larger dust and debris from demolition, strip-outs and construction so your HEPA filter lasts longer. The H13 HEPA filter captures fine particles, including mould spores, for mould remediation and controlled environments. The carbon filter removes odours, gases and volatile compounds on fire and smoke restoration, mould and chemical jobs.

HEPA filtration captures fine airborne particles, including mould spores, which is why air scrubbers with H13 HEPA filters are used on mould remediation and mould removal jobs. Keep spare filters on hand so a loaded filter never holds up a job.

It depends on how dusty or contaminated the job is. Pre-filters load up fastest, so change them often to protect the HEPA filter. On the TS AFD 1200 and TS AFD 2000, the built-in pressure gauge shows when filters need attention.

They stick onto standard containment sheeting to create a doorway that opens and closes, so technicians can move in and out of a work zone without breaking containment. They’re used on mould remediation, dust containment, construction and demolition, and fire and smoke restoration jobs. Containment zippers come in 2-packs or boxes of 100.
